A maker places a limit order that rests on the order book; a taker places an order that matches against existing orders. Taker activity pays a slightly higher fee because it consumes existing liquidity.
The order form shows the fee that will be applied and the net amount you will receive before you confirm the order. What you see on the confirmation screen is what gets charged.
